CHANNEL + WT% - species is a fixed staining vector, wt% the load. Some pairs interact beyond mixing: FE2+/FE3+ charge transfer, CR-FE pairing, and any co-dopant quenches the CR* color change — the PAIR readout names it. Big-for-site ions (NI2+, F-CENTER) strain the lattice: watch LATTICE STRAIN go MODERATE then HIGH before the front breaks down. Gentle loads print fine striae, overloads break the front down into grain showers and milky inclusions.
FLAME - undercooling is growth speed plus melt glow. Yank it and thermal shock cracks the crystal. Hold it max over a starved feed and the front melts back.
FEED - boule diameter, and how sharply a recipe switch prints into the log as a striae band.
SEG k0 - low rejects hard: bold striae but dirtier; high takes solute in: pastel and clean.
ANISO - facet sharpness and which seed grain wins the boule.
HOST - thermal and optical identity, shown not tuned. CUT picks round, hexagon, square, trillion, shard (elongated bipyramid) or sol (rectangular step-cut crystal) and stays yours once picked — presets stop overriding it. LIGHT and QUALITY only change illumination and pixels.
FAILURE - watch STABILITY go STRAINED then CRITICAL; the report comes back INCLUDED, milky, FRACTURED. Recut elsewhere on the boule, or grow cleaner.
